The main character is Ariel and shes the youngest of her family. She has a lot of sisters, but her only friends are her fish, Flounder, a seagull, Scuttle, and a crab, Sebastian. Her father, Trident, is the king of the sea and he doesnt understand Ariels need to be human so Ariel tries to hide it. She even goes up to the stir and on land just to collect interesting things that affair to fail to humans. One day while going up, shes sees a boat and sees a handsome man hazard upon Eric having a party with a couple men and she falls in love with him. Its love at get-go sight. Unfortunately, a storm came upon them and Eric fell overboard. Ariel feared for his life and she saved his life. She render to him while he was unconscious and once he gains co nsciousness she quickly leaves to avoid being discovered. Memorized by Ariels voice, Eric vows to grasp her. Trident later learns that Ariel is in love with a human and he destroys all of Ariels treasures that she got from the surface. Shes so upset that she leaves to a witch named Ursula.
