In society, there are always changes. Whether they are progressive or regressive, they are still considered changes. As Weinstein states, ââ¬Å"Because everything is always changing, it is never a simple matter to decide among those trends and variations, which demand scientific attention and those that can be safely ignoredâ⬠(Weinstein, 2010). Much like the Four Critical Episodes which involved millions of people and several organizations over thousands of miles of territory, there is a critical issue growing larger right underneath our noses. According to, Article 3, paragraphâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦We have to be the change agents in our world. This is a serious obstruction in our society as well as in many others. It could become the Fifth Critical Episode. We, as a population have the obligation to ensure socia l change and social justice on these issues. So, what exactly is human trafficking? Well, I provided the textbook definition but there are many ways in which trafficking can be carried out. Despite common misconceptions, trafficking does not require transportation or border crossing, and physical abuse or restraint does not always occur. The individualââ¬â¢s consent is also considered irrelevant (Project, 2012)!There is labor trafficking in which individuals are acquired through the use of force, fraud or coercion for the use of labor services (Resettlement, 2012). There are numerous forms of abusive practices that are linked to labor trafficking. The first is bonded labor or debt bondage. It is the most widely used method of subjecting individuals to slavery (Resettlement, 2012). It is usually well hidden and is the least known form of labor trafficking in todayââ¬â¢s society. Victims of this form of labor trafficking become indebted to their ââ¬Å"masterâ⬠. Thei r labor is demanded as a means of repayment for a loan or service (Resettlement, 2012). Most never ââ¬Å"pay off their debtâ⬠. Another form of labor that occurs is forced labor. Victims are forced to work against their will, and are threatened by violence or some other form of

The organizational Change in Travel and Tourism: Travels and Tourism are the most popular business in the world and it also supports the economic system of the country. Here we will discuss the organizational change in travel and tourism. The change is the ongoing process of the organization to improve its business, so in order to make the change process in the travels and tourism business, the organization need to understand the change process (Dillimono and Dickinson, 2014). The Change process may be in the form of structure change of the organization, tools and techniques that used in the business process or diversity in a workplace, the change in the operational methods of the organization. The travels and tourism organization can adapt the change process in the organization for the development. The organization first analyzes the effect of changes that may arise from the change process (Maximiliano, 2013). The travels and tourism organization can make changes for the deduction of the cost of a company, or for stopping the empl oyee's turnover. When the travels and tourism organization feels that there is a performance gap, and the customers of the organization are satisfied with service providing facilities, then the organization may go for the organizational change (Gustafson, 2012). The organizational change also includes the change in the structure of the organization, changes in the business strategies. Suppose the travels and tourism organization are providing their services to the selected country and for this, the organization is losing their customers. In this situation, the travel and tourism organization may go for the change, by expanding their services to the other country as well, so that they can increase their customers. The travels and tourism organization can also include some better holiday destination to attract the customers (Morosan, 2015). It is also seen that, now a day's there are many travels and tourism organization in the market giving competition to each other, so the organizational change also gain the competitive advantage. The travels and tourism organization need to understand the needs of the customers and accordingly, they need to make the change process in the organization. There are three stages in the organizational change; they are establishing the need, implementation of change and proper monitoring (Maumbe, 2014). At first, it is important to establish the need for change, the top management of the organization should calculate that where the organization wants to be in the future and what are the possibilities to reach there in the future. After establishing the need for change, the top management should implement the change process and need to communicate it to the employees of the organization. If the employees fail to understand the change process, then it may create difficulties for the organization to implement the change process. Implementing of change process may include workforce diversity, which means put the right worker to the right job. This will help the travels and tourism organization to work in an organized or systematic way, which will lead to the success. In the time of implementing the change process the top level management sho uld monitor the works done by the employees of the organization; it will reduce the issues that may arise during the change process. The proper monitoring can also help the organization to make the suitable adjustment in the change process (Lather, Garg and Vikas, 2015). The travels and tourism organizational change may take the long time for the whole process, as they provide their services to the world, so they have to do lots of changes for the whole process. The factors that forced to make Change in Travels and tourism: There may be several factors that can force the travel and tourism organization to make the changes in the organization. The factors are: Competition: This is one of the most important factors for which the travels and tourism organization may go for the change. As we know that there is the high competition between tourism organizations, because of the new entrance in the market. For example, if a new tourism company enters into the market, then the company may take lower price from the customer in order to capture the market and the existing companies may face problem for these reasons (Horolets, 2014). Technology: The innovation of new and advanced technology in the market also can be the reason for the organizational changes. The old employees those who do not know how to use the computer may face problem for the technologies. So the company should provide proper training and development program to the employees of the organization to cope up with the change process, which will also increase the skills and knowledge of the employees of the organization. Desire for Growth: In the present market, all the business organization desire for the growth in the future. The travels and tourism organization also desire for growth, so to get success, the organization needs to make changes in the organization. My Travel Group started its business under the brand of Air tours in 1972 with limited resources, but when the organization starts growing its business, it faces some of the problems. So these problems may be the reason for adopting the change process in the travels and tourism organization (Korstanje, 2014). Need to improve Processes: The travels and tourism organization need to improve their business processes to increase the number of customers. The need of improvement is also may be the reason for the organizational changes. Economical Factor: The economical factor includes the economy of the country or a place in which the travel and tourism organization used to provide their services. If the economy of the place goes down than for increasing the economy, the government may increase the price for the tourist place; this may create difficulties for the travels and tourism organization. Government Regulation: This is also one of the most important factors for the organizational change. The change in the government regulation also affects the business of travel and tourism and forced to make the organizational changes. The changes in the taxation affect the cost of the organization and the revenue earn by the organization may go down, so in this case organizational change is necessary in order to cope up with the government regulation (Lin and Fu, 2012). Poor Performance: The poor performance is the most important reason for the organizational changes. In travel and tourism business, the guides are the important person those who use to go with the visitors to guide them and to tell them about the place. If the guides fail to do their job in the proper way, the visitors may not be happy with the services. So, because of the poor performance of the guides the organization may need to make the change in the organization, in which the employees get proper training to improve their skills (Kah and Lee, 2014). The Internal and the External environment are also responsible for the organizational Changes: The Internal Environment: The internal factor of the organization includes the system of working and the structure, the employees, etc. The travel and tourism business set the mission, in which the organization sets a target and tries to achieve the target with a period of the growth of the organization. If the organization see that, because of some organizational activities the target may not be possible to achieve in time and then organization go for change process to achieve the target in time (Wong and Li, 2015). The External Environment: The external environment is the factors that are occurring outside of the organization and which are not in the hand of the organization. The external factor may include the political factor, customers, competitors, social condition, etc. By collecting the feedback from the customers, the organization understand the level of satisfaction and if it low level of satisfaction the organization is bound to make the changes in the organization, so that they can satisfy the customers (Dillimono and Dickinson, 2014). The Development of Travels and Tourism for Changes effort: It is important for the managers or the leaders of travel and tourism to monitor the change process for the development of the organization. The communication will play the great role in the change process, as by maintain the proper communication leader can make the employees understand about the whole change process (Nunkoo, 2015). The continuous effort to the successful change process will lead the development of the organization. The Change process may be in the form of structure change of the organization, tools and techniques that used in the business process or diversity in a work place, the change in the operational methods of the organization. The travels and tourism organization can adapt the change process in the organization for the development. The organization first analyzes the effect of changes that may arise from the change process. The organizational change also includes the change in the structure of an organization, changes in the business strategies. Suppose the travels and tourism organization are providing their services to the selected country and for this, the organization is losing their customers. In this situation, the travel and tourism organization may go for the change, by expanding their services to the other country as well, so that they can increase their customers. The travels and tourism organization can also include some better holiday destination to attract the customers (Matos Marques Simoes and Esposito, 2014). The organization needs to make the changes to improve the organizational performance. Organizational change may not create great impact if the change is done just for the name sake. It is important to make the changes to improve the performance level of the organization so that the organization can develop in the future. The performance level of the organization creates a great impact on the development of the organization. The change management is also the important factor for the development of the organization. The leaders and the managers should apply the change management process during the time of change so that the organizational change ends with the development of the organization. For the general location it is possible for the tourism business to use primary transportation, this will help the tourism business to maintain and reduce their overall cost (Gustafson, 2012). Some of the major developments of the organization for the change efforts are: Performance of the employees: The change process in the organization may cause for the better performance of the employees. The training and development program should be there in the change process so that the employees can develop their skills and knowledge. This will help the employees to make their much better, and this will also lead the organization for the development (Huang and Chuang, 2013). Understanding the leadership and management: The change process in the organization will also help the employees to understand the leadership and the management which is very important for the employees and the growth of the organization. Once the employees of the organization learn about the leadership and the management process, and then it will be easy for the organization to gear the efforts for the organizational changes. So it is important for the employees to understand the performance level and the different techniques to improve the performance level (Trudeau Poskas and Messer, 2015). Organizational Development: The organizational development can be possible by using the steps that are mention in the above study. It is important for the managers or the leaders of travel and tourism to monitor the change process for the development of the organization. The continuous effort to the successful change process will lead the development of the organization. The change management is also the important factor for the development of the organization (Dadallage, 2015). References Dadallage, J. (2015). The Struggle for the Soul of Arthur Dimmesdale Essay Example For Students
The Struggle for the Soul of Arthur Dimmesdale Essay Arthur Dimmesdales soul was jeopardized by Roger Chillingworths intentions, which were to ruin him, but his only messiah, is Pearl. Dimmesdale must embrace Pearl as his daughter and publicly confess to be free from his self-inflicted torture. Arthur Dimmesdales soul was placed in jeopardy since we first saw him. He foreshadowed to Hester Prynne about what the effect of her silence would do to him. He said, What can thy silence do for him, except it tempt him yea, compel him, as it were to add hypocrisy to sin?. pg.62. His sin, as plainly put, was that he had committed adultery with Hester Prynne, and throughout the novel his struggle for the truth and his honorability becomes greater and greater. The man responsible for Dimmesdales torment was Roger Chillingworth. We will write a custom essay on The Struggle for the Soul of Arthur Dimmesdale specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Chillingworth prays vengeance on Hesters partner in crime (Dimmesdale) not Hester herself. When he visited Hester in prison he said, He bears no letter of infamy wrought into his garment, as thou dost; but I shall read it on his heart pg.70, this quote foreshadows the symbol that Chillingworth sees on Dimmesdales chest. Chillingworth claims he can be Dimmesdales savior because he can cure his illness, or really his guilt. The truth to this is that Chillingworth acts as if he were Dimmesdales friend and through doing this he really will not save him but lead him to his demise. Dimmesdale knows he must confess publicly and acknowledge Pearl as his daughter, to be free from his internal struggle. Pearl asks the minister if he will hold her hand and her mothers hand at noon time the next day. This is giving Dimmesdale a chance to confess and save his soul. If he acknowledges Pearl as his daughter, and confesses publicly, he will be able to embrace god because he will be free from Chillingworths desired attainment. At the end, Dimmesdale frees his soul by publicly confessing. Chillingworth is furious when he confesses and yells, Thou Hast escaped me!Thou Hast escaped me! pg.241. Then Dimmesdale turned to Pearl and gave her a kiss, by doing this he announced Pearl as his daughter. This time she does not brush the kiss off, but she starts to cry and she transforms from an imp to a caring little girl. In the battle for his soul, Arthur Dimmesdale went down in glory by confessing to his sin.

In fact, if you overdo it, those verbs will have the opposite effect.Instead of making your writing stronger, it can bring it down to an amateur level. That being said, I created the video below in order to help you understand how to use strong verbs in your writing the right way. Why use strong verbs for writingBecause your writing will be better overall. One of the best ways you can immediately make our writing stronger is by going through and crossing out each weak verb and replacing it with a better one. Here ââ¬â¢s how your writing will improve when you choose to use strong verbs.#1 Stronger visualsOne of the most important parts of any book is that your readers can get a precise visual. If theyââ¬â¢re going through the chapters not fully picturing whatââ¬â¢s happening, they wonââ¬â¢t be fully invested. And readers who arenââ¬â¢t invested donââ¬â¢t become fans. And they donââ¬â¢t leave reviews. And they donââ¬â¢t buy any other books you publish.Strong verbs take a basic sentence and form a very specific image in the readerââ¬â¢s mind. Doing this throughout the entirety of your book will leave your readers feeling as if they just stepped out of an entirely different world. And thatââ¬â¢s exactly what you want.Take these strong verb descriptions for example:She walked into the room, her cape trailing after her.She charged into the room, her cape billowing after her.She strutted into the room, her cape flowing after her. Each of these sentences is extremely simi lar in what they tell you; a girl with a cape entered a room. But changing the verbs from ââ¬Å"walkedâ⬠to ââ¬Å"chargedâ⬠to ââ¬Å"struttedâ⬠alters the way in which she entered. It tells you the how.And knowing how an action takes place sets up far more than just the image for the reader. It tells them the mood the characterââ¬â¢s in, increases suspense in some cases, and even creates anticipation for whatââ¬â¢s to follow.#2 More impactful emotionsThe goal of your book (and any book, really) is to make your reader feel something. You want to stir emotions in them.Thatââ¬â¢s why they read books. That, and they want to be transported to a different world, which strong verbs are also used for.But one of the main reasons to use strong verbs in writing is to create a more emotional impact. When you want to create a strong reaction in your reader, no matter what type of reaction that is, you need to use strong verbs.Hereââ¬â¢s an example of creating more anx iety or anticipation in your readers:My heart was beating so fast I could hear it.My heart crashed against my ribs, echoing in my head.Which sentence gives you a clearer picture of the anxiety that must be felt? The second, right.Because replacing ââ¬Å"was beating fastâ⬠with ââ¬Å"crashed against my ribs,â⬠shows you just how hard my heartfelt. And thats the difference between a weak verb and a strong one.Strong verbs in writing are the KEY to showing and not telling in order to hook readers.Click To Tweet#3 Helps you show, not tellBy now you know just how important showing versus telling is in writing. And one powerful way to show more and tell less is to use strong verbs. It forces you to think more about the visual youââ¬â¢re trying to show the reader instead of just telling them what happened.Because showing creates a stronger emotional connection between the reader and your book, replacing weak verbs with more powerful ones will hook your readers. For those of yo u who struggle with showing and not telling, focusing on using better verbs will help tremendously.#4 They reduce weak adverbsWhen youââ¬â¢re writing, you may have a tendency to write sentences like, ââ¬Å"I gripped the steering wheel firmly.â⬠While this doesnââ¬â¢t look like a terrible sentence, it also doesnââ¬â¢t convey a very strong visual.Whenever you have an adverb, you should replace it with a stronger verb. Thatââ¬â¢s all an adverb is. It gives your weak verb a boost but it doesnââ¬â¢t actually make your sentence any stronger.Instead, replace ââ¬Å"gripped firmlyâ⬠with a powerful verb like ââ¬Å"clenchedâ⬠or ââ¬Å"squeezed.â⬠ââ¬Å"I clenched the steering wheelâ⬠is a much stronger sentence that gives a clearer visual.Go through your writing and pick out some adverbs to replace. Your writing will be better because of it.#5 They make for more concise writingHave you ever picked up a book that looked decent enoughand even had an awesome title only to start reading and be turned off by how wordy and jumbled it is?Strong verbs prevent this. When you replace weak verbs and adverbs with a single stronger verb, you get rid of the excess writing that can make reading harder. It also saves you a ton of time cutting words during the editing phase.Because youââ¬â¢re using one word to create a strong visual, you wonââ¬â¢t have to write more trying to describe how it looks to you. That strong verb does the job for you. This also allows for easier, more fluid writing and reading.Strong action verbs for better writingI wonââ¬â¢t lie. One of the most frustrating things to read is a book that lacks strong verbs in scenes that are meant to be full of action.Youââ¬â¢ll find this most often in fiction, but nonfiction books can be just as (if not more!) guilty of this. When you have a story that should leave the readerââ¬â¢s heart pounding but it doesnââ¬â¢t even raise their eyebrows, you have to do some diggi ng to improve.Heres a list of strong action verbs to improve your writing:What to do NextItââ¬â¢s not enough to just know what strong verbs are and how to use them. You actually have to put these tips to use in your own book and implement what youââ¬â¢ve learned.Hereââ¬â¢s what you can do right now to improve your writing and your book!#1 Attend your FREE trainingAll of this advice is relatively useless without a plan for finishing, marketing, and self-publishing your book.

The Difference Between Extrapolation and Interpolation
The Difference Between Extrapolation and Interpolation Extrapolation and interpolation are both used to estimate hypothetical values for a variable based on other observations. There are a variety of interpolation and extrapolation methods based on the overall trend that is observed in the data. These two methods have names that are very similar.à We will examine the differences between them. Prefixes To tell the difference between extrapolation and interpolation, we need to look at the prefixes ââ¬Å"extraâ⬠and ââ¬Å"inter.â⬠The prefix ââ¬Å"extraâ⬠means ââ¬Å"outsideâ⬠or ââ¬Å"in addition to.â⬠The prefix ââ¬Å"interâ⬠means ââ¬Å"in betweenâ⬠or ââ¬Å"among.â⬠Just knowing these meanings (from their originals in Latin) goes a long way to distinguish between the two methods. The Setting For both methods, we assume a few things. We have identified an independent variable and a dependent variable. Through sampling or a collection of data, we have a number of pairings of these variables. We also assume that we have formulated a model for our data. This may be a least squares line of best fit, or it could be some other type of curve that approximates our data. In any case, we have a function that relates the independent variable to the dependent variable. The goal is not just the model for its own sake, we typically want to use our model for prediction. More specifically, given an independent variable, what will the predicted value of the corresponding dependent variable be? The value that we enter for our independent variable will determine whether we are working with extrapolation or interpolation. Interpolation We could use our function to predict the value of the dependent variable for an independent variable that is in the midst of our data. In this case, we are performing interpolation. Suppose that data with x between 0 and 10 is used to produce a regression line y 2x 5. We can use this line of best fit to estimate the y value corresponding to x 6. Simply plug this value into our equation and we see that y 2(6) 5 17. Because our x value is among the range of values used to make the line of best fit, this is an example of interpolation. Extrapolation We could use our function to predict the value of the dependent variable for an independent variable that is outside the range of our data. In this case, we are performing extrapolation. Suppose as before that data with x between 0 and 10 is used to produce a regression line y 2x 5. We can use this line of best fit to estimate the y value corresponding to x 20. Simply plug this value into our equation and we see that y 2(20) 5 45. Because our x value is not among the range of values used to make the line of best fit, this is an example of extrapolation. Caution Of the two methods, interpolation is preferred. This is because we have a greater likelihood of obtaining a valid estimate. When we use extrapolation, we are making the assumption that our observed trend continues for values of x outside the range we used to form our model. This may not be the case, and so we must be very careful when using extrapolation techniques.

Negation in Arabic Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Negation in Arabic - Essay Example A comparison and contrasts of Arabic with the English language provides for several interesting as well as challenging issues. The Arabic calendar, although based on the lunar year, has the same number of months as the English calendar and there is also similarity in the names of the months (Online Arabic Tutorial). But the similarity ends here. Then the language becomes complex with its own set of rules and applications (Edwards, Malcolm). The Arabic grammar reflects the rule of its alphabets and vowels on the correct arrangement of words in a sentence. It makes good use of prefixes and suffixes for various purposes such as negation and also for indicating the future. The use of the alphabet depends on where it is placed in the word (Online Arabic Tutorial). For instance, the letter t (pronounced ta in Arabic) has five variations on the way it is used, depending on its position in the word. The same rule applies for all the other alphabets. The Arabic language is written right to left. However, its numbers are written left to right, just as is done in English and most other languages. The Arabic numerals are based on the Indian numeral system (Online Arabic Tutorial). The ways texts are written influence various other aspects in written and oral expressions. For instance, if an Arabic student were to make graphs indicating statistics of increasing data, the student will show the data increase from right to left. On the other hand, if the same graph were to be made by an English student, the data will show the increase from left to right (Tversky, Barbara). There is the use of a suffix to address adjectives, masculine and feminine genders. The possessive pronoun 'its' does not exist in Arabic. Depending on whether the noun is masculine or feminine, the possessive pronoun is spoken of as male or female. The verb 'to be' is understood but not expressed in Arabic. The comparative degree is indicated through the use of adjectives. It does not agree in gender with its noun, but remains fixed in form. Negation in the past tense is done by using a prefix at the beginning of the sentence. Also, future is formed through the use of a prefix in a sentence. The Arabic language does not have neutral gender. Every noun is either masculine or feminine gender (Online Arabic Tutorial). Semantics The Arabic language has its own repertoire of folk tales and idioms to buttress the language. The language is dimensionally set with its own culture and intonations. Direct expressions, proverbs, idioms, graphics, etc enrich the language. There is no neutral gender and the gender of every noun must be learned. It is important to pay attention to the gender of the nouns because the gender of adjectives, pronouns and verbs that refers to them must agree. Even cities have gender (Online Arabic Tutorial). The language is set with rules that require the crossing of dotting of every t's and i's. Names are replete with use of the name of the Prophet and his relations. Muhammad, Abdullah, Fatima, Jamila are some of the common names bearing divine attributes. The names and expressions

The importance of Auditing Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
The importance of Auditing - Essay Example The research paper is specifically meant to explore the reasons why developing countries in particular often fail to meet their expectations in terms of economic development. As such, the hypothesis for the research is: "Implementing better regulated auditing systems with severe consequences for not passing the audit will help developing countries to improve their economic development and avoid widespread corruption." Along with this hypothesis, the methods for data collection that will be mainly used include qualitative research. This will be mainly comprised of secondary data obtained from published literature such as journals as well as other official documents in the same area of study. The main advantage of using secondary research for this particular research is that the data going to be used is authentic. This data would have been validated in other previous studies. One of the reasons for the financial success of developed countries is their reliance on strict auditing practices. However, one of the reasons for the financial problems of many developing countries is lack of regulation of auditing system. Developing countries fail to apply the right plans for developing because they depend on accounting and neglect the auditing systems. By not involving auditing systems in the process, the range of corruption will increase. Unfortunately, accounting and auditing systems or procedures of developing countries are currently struggling to keep pace with those of the developed nations because they were specifically designed to meet the needs of centrally planned economy and not globalized economies (Prather-Kinsey, 2006). Therefore, the accounting systems lack uniformity as well as accounting standards because they are applied differently across industries and sectors. The auditing and accounting systems normally set clear objectives of providing accounting information related to tax, statistics, and financial
